\"Screen<\/a>It is that time of year again folks; the time when college kids start pulling all-nighters, loosing their minds and start pulling their hair out.\u00a0 Yes, it is midterm and final season.\u00a0 This could be almost as bad as Starbucks running out of Pumpkin Spice Lattes (the jury is still out on this one).\u00a0 Instead of a quote this week, I have a few tips to help you through the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/p>\n

Ready? Get set! Start studying!<\/p>\n

1. Do not procrastinate!
\n<\/b>Probably the worst thing you can do – actually, it is the worst thing you can do – is to procrastinate.\u00a0 When you procrastinate, you are only making it worse for yourself.\u00a0\u00a0 Start reviewing the day you get the information. This will make it easier to maintain the information.<\/p>\n

2. Find your own niche.<\/b><\/p>\n

If you are easily distracted, studying can become 10,000 times worse!\u00a0 Find somewhere where you can completely zone out and get the work done.\u00a0 I know for a fact that Farmingdale State College has so many places for students to go to study.\u00a0\u00a0 Some off-campus places include, but are not limited to, a park bench and your local public library.\u00a0 When you find your niche, you will find success.<\/p>\n

3. Find a study buddy.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

If you were lucky enough to be in a class with a friend, then you are all set! You have your very own study buddy!\u00a0 You have two brains, two different sets of notes, and two different ways to attack a class!\u00a0 Two heads are better than one!<\/p>\n

4. Make use of technology.<\/b><\/p>\n

If you cannot find a time to study in person with your study buddy, do not worry my friend you are in luck! It is the 21st<\/sup> century, and there are so many different ways to study with the use of the technology.\u00a0 Almost everyone has an iPhone or some sort of smartphone. \u00a0An iPhone, or any Apple product, is equipped with the technology to FaceTime.\u00a0 FaceTime helps you study with your buddy, but you have to watch yourself and make sure that you do not waste your time.\u00a0 Other technology that most college kids have is laptops. \u00a0Laptops give you access to the Internet and resources that will only aid in your success.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Sleep!!<\/b><\/p>\n

We all hated naptime when we were younger, and we are all paying for it now.\u00a0 As we get older, we need more and more sleep, especially the night before a big exam.\u00a0 We cannot expect our brains to retain all the material needed for the exam without a decent night\u2019s sleep.<\/p>\n
