Are you ready?\u00a0 Here we go!<\/p>\n<p>Remember when we were little and we were taught <i>The Golden Rule<\/i>: <b>treat others the way in which you would want to be treated?<\/b>\u00a0 It was a simple statement that we all learned; yet some of us forgot about it as we became older.\u00a0 The shear fact that we forget this scares me.\u00a0 What is going to happen to the world if we continue down this path, and we don\u2019t stop being so self-centered?\u00a0 We are all so concerned with ourselves and what we want that we don\u2019t see the people that need help.\u00a0 Because of this, the quote for this week is, \u201cPay it forward\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/rambassadors\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2014\/01\/Screen-Shot-2014-01-14-at-5.10.32-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1326 alignleft\" style=\"margin: 5px\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2014-01-14 at 5.10.32 PM\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Screen-Shot-2014-01-14-at-5.10.32-PM-300x224.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a>I am going to give you a challenge.\u00a0 For one day, try to help three people, any three people. You cannot take anything for that deed that you did.\u00a0 It could be as simple as opening the door for the person behind you or helping your parents before they ask you.\u00a0 The feeling of self-pride, the feeling that you did something for someone else, should be reward enough.\u00a0 If you help one person and that person helps another person and so on and so forth, who knows what this world could turn out to be.
